Convert Excel and CSV to PDF Online
Turn .xlsx, .csv or .tsv files into paginated PDF tables with repeating headers, in your browser.
Excel to PDF Converter
Turn an .xlsx workbook, or a .csv/.tsv file, into a paginated PDF table with borders, striped rows and a repeating header.
.xlsx, .csv or .tsv (not .xls) • nothing is uploaded
Your spreadsheet is read and converted on this device. No file is uploaded.
What this tool does and who it is for
Excel to PDF reads a real .xlsx workbook, or a .csv or .tsv file, in your browser and prints its cells as a PDF table. It uses US Letter by default, draws borders and striped rows, sizes columns from the content, repeats the header row on every page and flows long sheets across as many pages as needed.
You choose the sheet (or all sheets), portrait or landscape, and what happens when the columns are wider than the page: scale them down to fit, or keep full size and continue the columns on separate pages. Values come from what is saved in the file, so formulas are not recalculated.
Cell colors, fonts, merged cells, charts and Excel's own print setup are not reproduced. For those, use Save As PDF in Excel. Nothing is uploaded.
Official Formula / Technical Standard
Real-World Worked Scenario
A 4-quarter P&L spreadsheet converts into a clean landscape PDF with green highlight headers.
When people use it
A long price list or roster
Turn a few hundred rows into a clean paginated PDF with the header repeated on every page.
A CSV export you need to read on paper
Open a bank, store or CRM export as a tidy table without opening a spreadsheet program.
A budget to share
Send a read-only copy of one sheet to a spouse, landlord or loan officer.
Several sheets in one PDF
Pick All sheets and each starts on a new page, labeled in the footer.
Notes for US users
- Letter size (8.5 x 11 in) is the default, landscape for wide tables. Switch to A4 if you need it.
- Common number, currency, percent and date formats are applied, so a cell shown as $1,250.00 or 3/15/2026 in Excel prints the same way. Unusual custom formats may print as plain numbers.
- For financial statements, tax schedules or anything a lender will read, export from Excel itself so formulas, number formats and print areas are preserved exactly.
Limits and what to double-check
- •Only .xlsx, .csv and .tsv files work. Old .xls files must be re-saved as .xlsx or CSV first.
- •Formulas are not recalculated. If the file was saved by a tool that does not store results, those cells may be empty. Hidden rows, hidden columns and hidden sheets are left out.
- •No merged cells, colors, fonts, images or charts. Cells wider than about 200 points wrap, and a single cell with more text than fits on one page is cut off and reported.
Expert Best Practices & Common Pitfalls
Recommended Best Practices
- •Use landscape orientation for spreadsheets with more than 4 columns to avoid wrapped text.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- •Omitting column headers on row 1.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I convert CSV files?▼
Yes! Paste your CSV text directly into the tool for instant tabular PDF formatting.
Why are my columns split onto extra pages?▼
The table is wider than the page. With Scale to fit, the tool shrinks it down to half size at most, then splits what still does not fit. With the split option it keeps full size and prints all rows for the first group of columns, then the next group. The first column can repeat on each group.
Do formulas work?▼
The tool prints the last calculated value saved in the file. It never recalculates. If a total looks stale, open the file in Excel, let it recalculate, save, and upload it again.
How are CSV files read?▼
Quoted fields, doubled quotes and line breaks inside quotes are handled, and the separator (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected from the first line. A quoted value like 1,250 stays in one cell. Numbers are right-aligned.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?▼
No. The workbook is unzipped and read in your browser and the PDF is built there. The page makes no upload request. Delete the downloaded copy if it holds private data.
