Convert PowerPoint (PPTX) to PDF Online
Convert a .pptx file into a PDF at the deck's own slide size, with text, pictures and simple shapes.
PowerPoint to PDF Converter
Upload a .pptx and get one PDF page per slide, with text and pictures placed where the file says they belong.
.pptx only (not .ppt) • nothing is uploaded
Your presentation is read and converted on this device. No file is uploaded.
What this tool does and who it is for
PowerPoint to PDF reads a real .pptx file in your browser and makes one PDF page per slide, in your slide order. Text boxes and placeholders are placed using the position and size stored in the file, with their bold, italic, color, bullets and wrapping. PNG and JPG pictures, simple tables, solid rectangles and backgrounds are drawn too.
It is a rebuild from the file's contents, not PowerPoint's renderer. Charts, SmartArt, most shapes, gradients, shadows, animations, transitions, speaker notes and custom fonts are not reproduced, and text uses Helvetica or Times. For pixel-perfect output, use PowerPoint's own File, Export, PDF.
The pages keep your slide proportions, so a widescreen deck stays widescreen. Nothing is uploaded.
Official Formula / Technical Standard
Real-World Worked Scenario
A 10-slide quarterly review compiles into a sleek 180KB PDF document ready for client presentation.
When people use it
A quick handout from a simple deck
Turn a text-and-picture presentation into a PDF to email to a committee, a class or a team.
Reading slides on a phone
A PDF opens everywhere, including devices without PowerPoint installed.
Checking slide order and text
See every slide's text laid out on a page before deciding whether to export from PowerPoint itself.
Sharing without editable content
Send a flat PDF so recipients cannot change the wording, for decks that do not rely on charts or fancy design.
Notes for US users
- Page size follows your deck, usually 13.33 x 7.5 inches for widescreen. That is not a letter page, so printing on US letter paper will scale it and leave margins. Use your print dialog's fit to page setting.
- Standard PDF fonts only: characters outside basic Latin, such as emoji or non-Latin scripts, are replaced with a question mark and counted in the result notes.
- For decks going to a client, school board or investor, export from PowerPoint itself so branding, charts and fonts stay intact.
Limits and what to double-check
- •Only .pptx works. Old .ppt files and Keynote or Google Slides files must be saved as .pptx first.
- •Charts, SmartArt, lines, most shapes, shadows and animations are skipped. The result screen counts what could not be reproduced.
- •Text that overflows its box is shrunk (not below half size) when that option is on, so it can look smaller than in PowerPoint. EMF, WMF, SVG and GIF pictures are left out.
Expert Best Practices & Common Pitfalls
Recommended Best Practices
- •Keep slide titles concise (under 7 words) for maximum visual punch during presentations.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- •Overcrowding more than 5 bullet points on a single slide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the PDF open in presentation mode?▼
Yes! In Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, or browser viewers, press full-screen mode for a seamless slide show.
Will it match my deck exactly?▼
No. Positions, sizes and colors come from the file, but fonts are replaced with Helvetica or Times and anything beyond text, pictures, tables and simple rectangles is dropped. Treat it as a faithful text-and-picture handout, and use Export to PDF inside PowerPoint for the real thing.
Why is a chart or diagram missing?▼
Charts and SmartArt are stored as data that needs PowerPoint's own drawing engine. This tool does not draw them, and it says how many it skipped. Paste a screenshot of the chart into the slide as a picture and it will come through.
Are my speaker notes included?▼
No. Only the slide content is converted. Notes pages, comments, hidden-slide settings and transitions are ignored. In PowerPoint, Export, Create Handouts or Print Layout can produce notes pages.
Is the presentation uploaded?▼
No. The .pptx is unzipped and read in your browser and the PDF is built there. The page makes no upload request, but delete the downloaded PDF if the deck is confidential.
